Nuclear Management Company, LLC Withhold From Public Disclosure Under 10 CFR §2.390 March 22, 2004 10 CFR 2.390 U S Nuclear Regulatory Commission ATTN: Document Control Desk Washington, DC 20555-0001 Request For Closed Meeting with USNRC to Discuss NMC Refuelinq Plans Nuclear Management Company, LLC, (NMC) requests a closed (proprietary) meeting with the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff to discuss certain NMC initiatives.
Specifically, NMC has developed plans for improving refueling efficiencies at the NMC sites.
These plans are privileged and confidential commercial information held in confidence by NMC and not available in public sources. Public disclosure of the information is likely to cause substantial financial harm to the competitive position of NMC. NMC has concluded that information to be presented during the meeting between the NRC and NMC should be withheld as well as the specific details of the proprietary nature of the meeting included in the attached affidavit. A redacted copy of the affidavit is also enclosed.
NMC requests the NRC staff evaluate the justification for the proprietary nature of the meeting. If the staff concludes that NMC's justification meets the requirements of 10 CFR
§2.390, NMC requests that a meeting be scheduled to discuss the initiatives.
In accordance with 10 CFR §2.390, NMC requests the enclosed affidavit be withheld from public disclosure since public disclosure of the information is likely to cause substantial financial harm to the competitive position of NMC. This letter contains no new commitments and no revisions to existing commitments.
