50-260 50-296 BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT (BFN) - UNITS 1, 2 AND 3 - LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION SERVICE ON THE LIMESTONE COUNTY COMMISSION On December 31, 2003, TVA submitted an application to renew the operating licenses for BFN Units 1, 2, and 3. By letter dated March 4, 2004, the NRC Staff determined that the application contained sufficient information and was acceptable for docketing. The NRCs regulations [10 CFR 2.101(a)(3)(ii)] require that, following acceptance by the NRC, a copy of the application be served on the chief executive of the municipality or county in which the facility is located. In accordance with this regulation, one copy of the application, including the environmental report and a copy of the notice of availability, was served via certified mail on the Chairman, Limestone County Commission, 310 West Washington Street, Athens, Alabama, 35611 on Monday, March 15, 2004.
