This is in response to your letter of February 11, in which you requested the reasons for not being provided timely notification of the February 3, 2004 reactor trip at the Callaway Plant.
This matter was discussed between you and Mr. Bill Maier of my staff on March 5, 2004. I understand from Mr. Maier that we now have a better understanding of the circumstances resulting in your concern. In addition, Mr. Maier has assured me that those circumstances should not be repeated. I trust that this information is responsive to your letter.
