, Mr. R. J. Conte, Region I Operational Safety Branch Chief U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission 475 Allendale Road King of Prussia, PA 19406-1415 Seabrook Station Preliminan Review of Request for Waiver for SRO Candidate FPL Energy Seabrook, LLC (FPLE Seabrook) requests a preliminary review of a request for waiver regarding prerequisite experience requirements as specified in Regulatory Guide 1.8, Revision 3 and Revision 8 of NUREG-1021, Operator Licensing Examination Standards for Power Reactors, ES-202, Section D.2 for a licensed operator candidate. FPLE Seabrook believes that the candidates work experience, combined with his education and previous Station-specific training, meets the intent of the experience qualifications of NUREG-1.021.
A justification for the waiver and an outline of the candidates work experience is attached. The enclosure contains persona1 infomation and should be withheld &om public disclosure.
