I. Public Policy Advocates LLC ("PPA") submits its Cover Sheet Application (the 2 "Application") for Allowance and Payment of Interim Compensation and Reimbursement of

.3 Expenses for the Period January 1, 2004 through January 31, 2004 (the "Application Period").

4 In support of the Application, PPA respectfully represents as follows:

.5 1. PPA is the Legislative Activities Consultant to the Official Committee of 6 Unsecured Creditors in the Pacific Gas and Electric Company ("Debtor") bankruptcy case. PPA 7 hereby applies to the Court for allowance and payment of interim compensation for services rendered during the Application Period.

9 2. PPA billed a total of $6,000.00 in fees and $14.57 in expenses during the 10 Application Period.

11 3. Accordingly, PPA seeks allowance of interim compensation in the total amount of 12 $5,114.57 at this time, which represents 85% of the fees for services rendered.'

13 4. PPA has been paid a total of $171,910.28 for fees and expenses to date.

14 5. To date (through 02/27/04) PPA is owed as follows (including amounts owed 15 pursuant to this Application):

2 l7. PPA has served a copy of this Application (without Exhibits) on the Special 3 Notice List in this case.

Pursuant to this Court's "SECOND AMENDED ORDER ESTABLISHING D INTERIM FEE APPLICATION AND EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT PROCEDURE" which 6 was entered on or about March 18, 2002, the Debtor is authorized to make the payment requested 7 herein without a further hearing or order of this Court unless an objection to this Application is 8 filed with the Court by the Debtor or the United States Trustee and served by the fifteenth day of 9 the month following the service of this Application. If such an objection is filed, Debtor is 10 authorized to pay the amounts, if any, not subject to the objection. This Cover Sheet Application 11 was mailed by first class mail, postage prepaid, on or about February 27, 2004.

12 9. The interim compensation sought in this Application is on account and is not 13 final. Upon the conclusion of this case, PPA will seek fees and reimbursement of the expenses 14 incurred for the totality of the services rendered in the case. Any interim fees or reimbursement 15 of expenses approved by this Court and received by PPA will be credited against such final fees 16 and expenses as may be allowed by this Court.

PPA represents and warrants that its billing practices comply with all 18 Northern District of California Bankruptcy Local Rules and Compensation Guidelines and the 19 Guidelines of the Office of the United States Trustee. Neither PPA nor any members of PPA has 2i) any agreement or understanding of any kind or nature to divide, pay over or share any portion of

  • 21 the fees or expenses to be awarded to PPA with any other person or attorney except as among the 22 members and associates of PPA.
