- CATEGORY ONE MEETING ANNUAL ASSESSMENT - ST. LUCIE NUCLEAR PLANT, DOCKET NOS.

Dear Mr. Stall:
This letter confirms the conversation between Mr. Terry Patterson of your staff and Mr. Thierry Ross of NRC staff on February 10, 2004, concerning an Annual Assessment Meeting (Category One public meeting) requested by us which is scheduled for March 22, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. (EST). The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the NRC Reactor Oversight Process Annual Assessment of your St. Lucie Nuclear Plant. During the meeting, we recognize that you may have information which you want to present to us or any members of the public in attendance. Accordingly, if you so desire, after our presentation you will be afforded an opportunity to respond to any information contained in the Annual Assessment Letter and to discuss any new or existing programs that are designed to maintain or improve your current performance. The meeting will be held at the Courtyard by Marriott, located at 10978 S. Ocean Drive, Jensen Beach, Florida. The meeting will be an open meeting in accordance with NRCs Policy Statement for Enhancing Public Participation in NRC Meetings, May 28, 2002 (Federal Register Volume 67, Number 102, Pages 36920-36924).
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS).
