DONALD C. COOK NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 CONFIRMATION OF INITIAL OPERATOR LICENSE EXAMINATIONS
Dear Mr. Nazar:
In accordance with the request outlined in your letter (AEP:NRC2574-40) dated January 19, 2004, an initial operator license examination has been tentatively scheduled at the Donald C.
Cook Nuclear Power Plant during the weeks of February 6 and February 13, 2006, for six Reactor Operator and nine Senior Reactor Operator candidates. Your letter indicated you desired the NRC develop the written examination. In a subsequent telephone conversation between Mr. I. Fleetwood, D. C. Cook Initial License Training Lead Trainer, and Mr. D. McNeil, Reactor Engineer, of my staff, the request to have the written examination developed by the NRC was withdrawn. We understand that members of the D. C. Cook Training Department will develop the operating tests and written examination. If you are unable to develop the examination/tests in-house, please contact Mr. D. McNeil of my staff at 630-829-9737 to coordinate examination development efforts. We have no other initial license examinations scheduled for the D. C. Cook Nuclear Power Plant. If you have any questions concerning the February examination or other examination scheduling issues, please contact Mr. D. McNeil of my staff at 630-829-9737.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the
