Updated Forecast for Submittal of License Amendment Applications to Convert to the Improved Standard Technical Specifications and Renew the Operating License for the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Ladies and Gentlemen:
The FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) is the operator and a licensee of the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station (DBNPS), Unit Number 1. By letter (Serial Number 2749), dated Febnzary 4, 2002, FENOC provided the NRC with forecast dates for submitting a License Amendment Request to convert the DBNPS Technical Specifications to the improved Standard Technical Specifications in NUREG -1430 and for submitting an Operating License Renewal Application.
Due to the extended Thirteenth Refueling Outage and deferral of major projects in the DBNPS Long Range Plan, FENOC has reforecast the submittal dates for the Improved Standard Technical Specifications License Amendment Request to December 2007 and the Operating License Renewal Application to December 2008.
