SUBJECT:
WATERFORD STEAM ELECTRIC STATION, UNIT 3 RE: ELECTRONIC MAIL (E-MAIL) RECEIVED JANUARY 29, 2004, FROM ENTERGY OPERATIONS, INC., ON THE ISSUE OF REMOVAL OF TS 3.7.4 ACTION STATEMENT "c" FROM THE TS (TAC NO. MC1863)
The purpose of this memorandum is to place into the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS), the attached E-mail documentation, dated January 29, 2004, from Entergy Operations Inc. (Entergy, the licensee) requesting Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) review of the NRC Safety Evaluation dated September 7, 2000, and determination whether the unshielded Dry Cooling Towers may be considered operable following a tornado event. The licensee authorized the opening of a TAC for this review.
