CORRECTION OF LICENSE AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR VOGTLE ELECTRIC GENERATING PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2
Dear Mr. Gasser:
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with the results of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff review of the license and technical specifications (TSs) for the subject plant. The NRC is conducting a comparison of its license authority files to licensees records to ensure errors in licenses and TSs are identified and corrected for all units. I have completed the comparison of the NRCs license authority file and your records to determine whether corrections were necessary. The enclosure provides the information necessary to update your records for Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Units 1 and 2, so that the license and TSs accurately capture the NRC-approved amendments or corrections to these documents. I have discussed the corrections that are necessary with Mr. Jack Stringfellow of your staff.
While performing the authority file review, I noted two issues related to the issuance of Amendments 107/85 dated March 26, 1999. When the NRC issued the amendments, an administrative error caused pages 3.3.3-5 and 3.3.3-6 not to be issued, even though they were included in your letter dated November 11, 1998. Therefore, the NRC has added pages 3.3.3-5 and 3.3.3-6 to the authority file. The other issue relates to page 3.7.6a-1, which was issued with Amendments 107/85, however, in Amendments 105/83 dated January 29, 1999, this page was deleted from the TS and should not have been included when Amendments 107/85 were issued. The NRC is therefore, removing page 3.7.6a-1 from the authority file.
Included in the enclosure are copies of the (1) insert/remove instruction page(s) for the associated amendments, and (2) correct license and/or TS page(s). Please
