CORRECTION OF LICENSE AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS FOR EDWIN I. HATCH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2
Dear Mr. Sumner:
The purpose of this letter is to provide you with the results of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff review of the license and technical specifications for the subject plant.
The NRC is conducting a comparison of its license authority files to licensees records to ensure errors in licenses and technical specifications are identified and corrected for all units. I have completed the comparison of the NRCs license authority file and your records to determine whether corrections were necessary. I have discussed the corrections that are necessary with Mr. Ray Baker of your staff.
While performing the authority file review, I noted one issue related to the issuance of Amendments 238/180 dated September 23, 2003. When the NRC issued the amendments, page 4 of the license for each unit was updated to reflect a new Maximum Power Level, and therefore, updated the page. However, I noted that your copy of page 4 of the license, did not have an amendment number at the bottom of the page. Please ensure that when changes are made to pages of the license that the amendment number that authorized the change is at the bottom of the page.
