LETTER TO THE EDITOR I led the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) delegation during the two public meetings held in San Luis Obispo last week. I thank those members of the community who took time from their busy schedules to attend the meeting. Their comments and views brought value.
Regrettably, some residents may not have been able to attend. The NRC has taken extra steps to apprise those residents of the meeting discussions. Those steps include sponsoring the airing of a videotape of the meeting on the local SLO-SPAN cable access channel and making a transcript of the meeting available soon through our website (www.nrc.gov) for any member of the community to obtain a copy. We plan to hold a followup meeting in May. Our preparations for that meeting will include extra steps to ensure that interested members of the community are informed of the meeting date well in advance so they can plan accordingly.
