Dear Mr. Gurdziel:
During the course of the extended outage of the Davis-Besse facility, you have provided your view on a variety of issues and asked a number of questions regarding Davis-Besse. The matters you raised with us have been considered carefully and reviewed along with other public correspondence by the NRCs Davis-Besse Oversight Panel. Any matters requiring more detailed evaluation are addressed by the appropriate NRC office. One example of an issue that received extensive evaluation concerned reactor coolant pump leakage. Our evaluation of that issue was provided to you in my letter dated December 2, 2003.
The NRC values your input and while many of your letters and e-mails state that you require no response, we want to assure you that the NRC reviews all input on issues that could affect the publics health and safety.
At this time, the NRC has concluded that all the issues you have raised have been adequately addressed.
