This extension Is necessary to apply resources to higher priority items, Including the following corrective actions:
01-3412-14, Currently the Unit 1 Control Room staff is required to use 8 procedures plus using any of 20 sub procedures successively (selecting actions In accordance with the fire area) to perform the required safe shutdown actions when shutting down from the Control Room. Revise and reformat 1OM-56B.4.2 to provide a separate procedure for each fire area. This will entail approximately 33 fire areas, use existing information from 1 OM-56B.4.2.
01-3412-15, Revise 1OM-56B.3.B.1 through 23 (Pre-Fire Plan Strategies), as necessary to relocate all actions performed to accomplish safe shutdown to the associated 1OM-56B.4.2, Fire Area procedure.
Justification:
The writer that owns this corrective action also owns the 2 corrective actions mentioned above. Received direction from the Senior Vice President that the higher priority Items mentioned above must be completed by their assigned due date and will not be extended. Another corrective action owned by the same writer and due this month has been re-assigned to another writer.
