CALLAWAY PLANT, UNIT 1 - REVIEW OF LICENSEES COPY OF THE FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE (TAC NO. MC0786)
Dear Mr. Randolph:
A comparison review of your copy (i.e., the licensees copy) of Facility Operating License No.
NPF-30 for the Callaway Plant with respect to the License Authority File copy contained at the Nuclear Regulatory Commission has been completed. This review included the following appendices to the license: Appendix A (Technical Specifications), Appendix B (Environmental Protection Plan), and Appendix C (Additional Conditions). The enclosed table shows the differences found between the License Authority File and your copy of the license that need to be corrected. In some cases, an error was found in both the License Authority File and your copy of the license.
The corrections shown in the enclosed table are divided into the following two categories: (1) the error in the licensees copy of the license can be corrected without an amendment because the licensees copy is being changed to be the same as the License Authority File, or (2) the error, in both the License Authority File and the licensees copy of the license, has to be corrected through an amendment to the license. You are requested to correct the Category 1 errors within three months of the receipt of this letter. For the Category 2 errors, because these two errors are not significant, you are requested to propose the correcting amendments within 18 months of the receipt of this letter. The second enclosure is a copy of Appendix C, the additional conditions on the license, from the License Authority File.

Delete the word "Physical" from the phrase, in the second sentence, "are entitled Callaway Physical Security Plan, with revisions submitted through November 17, 1987".

The Commissions orders on Callaway can be considered a separate appendix to the license because, as stated in Item 2.C of the license, the licensee is subject to the conditions of the license and the orders of the Commission.**

Propose an amendment to correct both the licensees TSs and the License Authority File, which both have the following phrase in 5.5.16.e: "The provisions or Technical Specification SR 3.0.2 do not apply..." The word "or" should be "of."

5.0-29 Radioactive Effluent Release Report in TS 5.6.3.
Propose an amendment to correct both the licensees TSs and the License Authority File, which both have a period (".") in the phrase:
"submitted prior to May 1 of each year. in accordance with 10 CFR 50.36a." The period should be deleted.
The words in 2.C.(15) of the License Authority File are the following:

Additional Conditions The Additional Conditions contained in Appendix C, as revised through Amendment No. 133, are hereby incorporated into this license. UE shall operate the facility in accordance with the Additional Conditions.
A copy of Appendix C in the License Authority File is Enclosure 2 to the letter.
