Dear Mr. Myers:
We have canceled a radiation protection inspection at your Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station that was to occur the week of February 2, 2004, due to personnel reassignments in the Plant Support Branch. This change was communicated during a telephone conversation between Mr. D. Noble of your staff and Dr. J. House on January 27, 2004. Inspection procedures 71121.01 and 71121.02, which cover access control to radiological areas and ALARA planning and controls, will be performed later in the inspection cycle. The radiation protection inspection schedule for 2004 will be updated as part of the End of Cycle assessment. If you have any questions concerning this information, please contact J. House of my staff at (630) 829-9824.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRCs "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
