OF PUBLIC INFORMATION SESSION FOR THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION (NRC) STAFF TO DESCRIBE ITS LICENSE RENEWAL PROCESS On November 20, 2003, the NRC staff conducted a Public Information Session to describe the license renewal process to the public living near Indiana Michigan Power Companys Donald C.
Cook (Cook) Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2. The purpose of the meeting was to provide information describing the license renewal process and how the public can participate. The meeting was held at the Lake Charter Township Hall at 3220 Shawnee Road in Bridgman, Michigan. The list of attendees is provided in Enclosure 1, and the meeting agenda is provided in Enclosure 2. A copy of the slides used by the NRC staff are provided as Enclosure 3.
Mr. Johnny Eads, NRC Lead Project Manager for the review of the Cook License Renewal Application, welcomed the public participants and introduced the NRC representatives at the meeting. Mr. Eads then presented the NRC slides describing the NRCs license renewal process and the public opportunities to participate in the process. Mr. Eads then answered questions from the public.
