American Electric Power Names Robert Gillespie as D. C. Cook Plant Operations Director Discussion:
On January 13, 2004, Mano Nazar, Senior Vice President and Chief Nuclear Officer, announced that Robert Gillespie will succeed Susan Simpson as the D.C. Cook Plant Operations Director. Mr. Gillespie is expected to assume his new position within the next 2weeks. Mr. Gillespie will join AEP from the Nuclear Management Company, where he was recently the Operations Manager at the Prairie Island Nuclear Plant. Ms. Simpson will become the Learning Organization Department Manager effective February 1, 2004.
These management changes were announced to better align the licensee's organization in support of its Recovery Plan to improve plant performance.
