FEMA REGION IV FINAL EXERCISE FOR FEBRUARY 19, 2003 PARTIAL PARTICIPATION PLUME EXPOSURE PATHWAY EXERCISE - TURKEY POINT NUCLEAR POWER PLANT
Dear Mr. Stall:
Enclosed is the subject report. There were no Deficiencies and four Areas Requiring Corrective Action (ARCA) identified. One ARCA regarded the timeliness of activation of the public alert and notification system. Two ARCAs concerned the fact that the initial emergency alert systel (EAS) messages did not include the minimum information specified in the September 12, 2001 Federal Register Notice. The fourth ARCA was issued to Miami-Dade County due to signage in some of the parks.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRCs "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS).
