POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 - FACSIMILE TRANSMISSION FOR ISSUES DISCUSSED IN TELEPHONE CONFERENCE (TAC NOS. MC0873 AND MC0874)
The attachment was transmitted by fax to Mr. Jack Gadzala, the Nuclear Management Company, LLC, in preparation for a telephone conference. This memorandum and the attachment do not convey a formal request for information or represent an Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff position.

ATTACHMENT Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2 Submittal Dated September 26, 2003 TAC MC0873 and MC0874 Discussion Points Point Beach would like to adopt TSTF 419 R0. TSTF 419 R0 has an insert which states:
"Identify the Topical Reports by number and title or identify the NRC Safety Evaluation for a plant specific methodology by NRC letter and date. The PTLR will contain the complete identification for each of the TS referenced Topical Reports used to prepare the PTLR (i.e.,
report number, title, revision, date, and any supplements."
Point Beach is proposing just to add the NRC letters and the corresponding dates. The staff believes that the last sentence of TSTF 419 R0 should also be added to TS 5.6.5.
Also, it appears from letter dated 10/6/2000 that the actual methodology was approved by letter dated March 20, 1996. However, this letter is not listed in TS 5.6.5. Please explain.
