INTRODUCTION The reactor operated continuously in October with the following exceptions: 5 shutdowns for scheduled maintenance and refueling. Received notification from the NRC that one new Reactor Operator and three new Senior Reactor Operator licenses had been issued.

MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES 10/06/03 Refueled - removed core 03-46, loaded core 03-47.

Shipped eight spent fuel elements to Savannah River Site.

10/13/03 Refueled - removed core 03-47, loaded core 03-48.

10/20/03 Refueled - removed core 03-48, loaded core 03-49.
