DOCKETING OF RESPONSE FROM THE NATIONAL MARINE FISHERIES SERVICE REGARDING CONSULTATION UNDER SECTION 7 OF THE ENDANGERED SPECIES ACT IN SUPPORT OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW OF THE SOUTHERN NUCLEAR OPERATING COMPANYS LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION FOR JOSEPH M. FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 This Note to File, makes the attached electronic mail response from the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) publicly available. The electronic mail from Stephania Bolden of the NMFS confirms to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) the determination by the NMFS that consultation falls within the purview of the Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS). The NMFS had originally made this determination in the enclosed June 21, 2002, letter to the Southern Nuclear Operating Company.
