INFORMATION RELATED TO ALLEGATIONS AT SALEM/HOPE CREEK On October 15, 2003, I advised you of information concerning allegations involving safety conscious work environment issues at Salem/Hope Creek. The allerger continues to pursue issues regarding this matter and was recently approached by the news media for an interview.
The allegers lawyer has advised NRC staff that an interview may be conducted by 60 minutes in the near future.
This note provides an update to our October 15, 2003, correspondence. As with the previous information and due to the sensitive nature of the material, the information was hand delivered to each Commission Office. The information provided includes internal Qs & As, an internal contingency plan, and Qs & As for use with external stakeholders should the interview be aired.
