Dear Mr. Myers:
This letter acknowledges receipt of your letter dated November 23, 2003, transmitting your Integrated Report to Support Restart of the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station and request for restart approval. As was discussed between members of our staffs, a restart meeting, at which we will hear your basis and request for restart, is scheduled for December 18, 2003. Your current schedule calls for the plant operational mode changes to occur beginning December 15, 2003. If the mode changes are delayed, the meeting will be postponed because the NRC inspection teams observation of control room activities during those mode changes is a critical element of discussion at the restart meeting. The meeting will be held December 18, 2003, from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (EST) at the Camp Perry Clubhouse,1000 Lawrence Road, Bldg. 600, Port Clinton, OH 43452. The business portion of the meeting will be completed no later than 8 p.m. to allow sufficient time for public comments and questions.
This meeting is open to the public.
We will gladly discuss any questions you may have concerning this matter.
