LOCATION: U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission One White Flint North 11555 Rockville Pike, Room 16B4 Rockville, Maryland 20852 PURPOSE: To discuss NMCs plans regarding reactor vessel fracture toughness requirements for protection against pressurized thermal shock events with respect to future plant life extension and license renewal.

CATEGORY 1:* This is a Category 1 Meeting. The public is invited to observe this meeting and will have one or more opportunities to communicate with the NRC after the business portion, but before the meeting is adjourned.

Meeting

Purpose:

Nuclear Management Company, LLC, to inform the NRC staff of its plans regarding reactor vessel fracture toughness requirements for protection against PTS events with respect to possible life extension and license renewal of the Palisades Plant .

Meeting Success: To gain a mutual understanding of the licensees PTS plan in support of potential license renewal and share initial views as to the acceptability of various approaches to this end.
