Box 236, Hancocks Bridge, New Jersey 08038-0236 NOV 0 7 2003 LRN-03-0461 0 PSEG Auclear LLC United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission Document Control Desk Washington, DC 20555 HOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE DPR-57 DOCKET NOS. 50-354 REQUEST FOR WITHDRAWAL OF RELIEF REQUEST HC-RR-A02 By letter dated February 20, 2003, PSEG Nuclear LLC (PSEG) submitted the subject relief request for Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approval. The relief request, HC-RR-A02, was submitted for the use of Code Case N-598, Alternative Requirements to Required Percentages of Examinations, Section Xl, Division 1, to determine the required percentage of examinations each inspection period for Class 1, 2, and 3 components and associated component supports at Hope Creek. The relief was requested for the duration of the second ten-year ISI interval at Hope Creek and until the NRC published the Code Case in a future revision of the applicable Regulatory Guide.
In June 2003, the NRC issued Regulatory Guide 1.147, Inservice Inspection Code Case Acceptability, Revision 13, approving the usa &% Code Case N-598. Therefore, by this letter, PSEG Nuclear withdraws Relief Requast 'IG-RR-A02.
