SUMMARY

OF THE OCTOBER 1, 2003, PUBLIC MEETINGS TO DISCUSS FIRSTENERGYS PLANS TO ADDRESS SAFETY CONSCIOUS WORK ENVIRONMENT AND SAFETY CULTURE On October 1, 2003, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held a public meeting at the NRC Region III office in Lisle, Illinois. The meeting was between the NRC Davis-Besse Oversight Panel and FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company (FENOC) to discuss the licensees plans to address safety conscious work environment and safety culture.
