MAINTENANCE OF REFERENCE MATERIAL AT THE LUCY MADDOX MEMORIAL LIBRARY FOR THE JOSEPH M. FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT UNITS 1 AND 2 LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION
Dear Ms. Crawford:
This letter is to confirm our telephone conversation on October 15, 2003, concerning the maintenance of relevant documents by your library. These documents are related to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staffs review of the application by the Southern Nuclear Operating Company, Inc. (SNC) for license renewal of Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant Units 1 and 2, for an additional 20 years. Over the period of the review, the volume of documents and related correspondence is expected to fill about one 3-foot shelf. Enclosed is a paper and an electronic copy of the application.
The application is also available on the NRCs web site, accessible through the NRCs home page at http://www.nrc.gov/reactors/operating/licensing/renewal/applications/farley.html.
We appreciate your willingness to assist the public in participating in the license renewal application process. We will place the Lucy Maddox Memorial Library on our distribution list for documents and notices related to the SNC application for license renewal at Farley.
