Monthly Operating Report for September 2003 Attached is the monthly operating report for Limerick Units 1 and 2 for the month of September 2003 forwarded pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.1.6 and the guidance of NRC Generic Letter 97-02. The attached monthly operating report data has also been entered into the INPO Consolidated Database for the month of September 2003 for Units 1 and 2.

On September 5E' at 03:36 hours reactor power was reduced from 100.1% to 97.9% RTP for channel bow testing. At 04:09 hours, reactor power was restored to 99.9% RTP. At 22:02 hours, reactor power was reduced from 99.9% RTP to 72.7% RTP for MSIV/TSV testing, rod pattern adjustment, scram time testing and channel bow testing.

On September 7 at 02:53 hours, reactor power was restored to 99.9% RTP. At 04:04 hours reactor power was reduced from 100.1 % RTP to 98.2% RTP for rod pattern adjustments. At 05:00 hours, reactor power was restored to 99.9% RTP.

Unit 1 ended the month of September 2003 at 100.0% RTP.

SUMMARY

Unit 2 began the month of September 2003 at 99.9% of rated thermal power (RTP).

On September 1 1" at 22:02 hours, reactor power was reduced from 99.8% RTP to 95.9% RTP for scram time testing.

On September 12"' at 02:01 hours, reactor power was restored to 99.9% RTP. At 22:03 hours, reactor power was reduced from 99.9% RTP to 57.7% RTP for MSIVITSV testing, rod pattern adjustment, scram time testing and channel bow testing.

On September 14'. at 19:24 hours, reactor power was restored to 99.8% RTP.

On September 19"n at 22:03 hours, reactor power was reduced from 99.9% RTP to 63.0% RTP for rod pattern adjustments.

On September 21st at 06:03 hours, reactor power was restored to 99.6% RTP.

Unit 2 ended the month of September 2003 at 99.9% RTP.
