SUBJECT:
SURRY POWER STATION, UNIT 2 - REVIEW OF STEAM GENERATOR TUBE INSERVICE INSPECTION REPORT FOR THE 2002 REFUELING OUTAGE (TAC NO. MB9651)
Dear Mr. Christian:
By letter dated February 26, 2003, Virginia Electric and Power Company (VEPCO) submitted the steam generator tube inspection report for the Spring 2002 refueling outage of Surry Power Station, Unit 2. The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff reviewed the information provided in the February 26, 2003, report (ADAMS Accession No. ML030690393) as well as the summary of the conference call held with VEPCO on April 17, 2002, during the ongoing steam generator inspections (ADAMS Accession No. ML021440455).
Based on this review, the NRC staff concludes that VEPCO provided sufficient information and that there are no issues that warrant additional followup at this time. No formal summary of our assessment was prepared since no issues were identified that warranted further discussion.
The NRC staff appreciates your assistance in this matter.
Sincerely,
/RA/
