ST. LUCIE PLANT, UNIT NO. 2 - WITHDRAWAL OF AN AMENDMENT REQUEST (TAC NO. MB7317)
Dear Mr. Stall:
By letter dated January 23, 2003, Florida Power and Light (FPL) submitted a proposed license amendment for St. Lucie Unit 2 to modify the definition of steam generator tube inspection as contained in Technical Specification 4.4.5.4.a.8 for Cycle 14 only. Based on your participation in the pending resolution of the generic issue, an intention to modify the requested duration of the proposed amendment from one cycle only to a permanent change, the change in the inspection scope consistent with FPLs March 31, 2003, letter, and feedback from the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff, you requested to withdraw the proposed amendment request, pending resolution of the generic issue, and to resubmit, if necessary, at a later date.
The purpose of this letter is to advise that based on your request the NRC staff considers our efforts with regards to your submittal as complete. Therefore, the above cited application is being treated as withdrawn. Notice of Consideration of Issuance of the proposed amendment had not been published in the Federal Register.
