SUBJECT:
V.C. SUMMER NUCLEAR STATION LICENSE RENEWAL REVIEW AND NATIONAL HISTORIC PRESERVATION ACT, SECTION 106 REVIEW PROCESS
Dear Dr. Stroup:
As stated by letter dated June 13, 2003, the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is evaluating an application submitted by South Carolina Electric and Gas Company (SCE&G) for the renewal of the operating license for the V.C. Summer Nuclear Station (V.C. Summer),
located in the southeastern corner of rural Fairfield County, South Carolina, approximately 26 miles northwest of Columbia, South Carolina. The 7.5 inch U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) topographic map of the V.C. Summer site and surroundings needed by the South Carolina State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) for review was inadvertently left out of the package of information provided in our June 13, 2003 letter. This letter transmits the USGS topographic map to the South Carolina SHPO. If you have any questions or require any additional information, please contact Gregory Suber, the NRC Environmental Project Manager for the V.C. Summer license renewal project, at 301-415-1124 or GXS@nrc.gov.
Sincerely,
/RA/
