Dear Mr. President,
RE: Indian Point Nuclear Power Plan I had the honor of helping New York citizens recover from the September 1 1 terrorist attacks. I was a disaster relief caseworker, and I volunteered for several months at Ground Zero.
Although mnany people talked about leaving New York after 9/l 1, I felt more dedicatcd to the city than ever. I am certain you are dedicated to rebtiilding New York, as well as doing the best possible job to keep it safe in our post 9/11 world. It is therefore quite perplexing that Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant is still open, and extremely vulnerable to terrorist attacks.
Please do all you can to immediately and permanently close the plant.
9/11 still seems shocking and unbelievable, even though I worked extensively in its aftermath. If Indian Point is attacked byterrorists, none ofus will have the opportunity for such solemn reflection.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
