1)

AmerGen Letter to NRC, Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 1 (TMI-1) Emergency Notification System Warning Sirens Update" Response (TAC NO. MB6495)", Dated March 19, 2003

2)

AmerGen Letter to NRC, "Three Mile Island Nuclear Station, Unit 1 (TMI-1) Emergency Notification System Warning Sirens Follow Up Response (TAC NO. MB6495)", Dated January 23, 2003 This letter is to provide an update to reference 1 describing our actions to address the TMI-1 Emergency Notification System Warning Siren concern which was identified by a local citizen.

As a result of the down graded global conditions, AmerGen has rescheduled to fully sound the sirens on May 29, 2003.

This sounding will locally verify adequate sound coverage in the area of concern to confirm siren performance. If any inadequacies in siren performance are identified, they will be entered into and addressed by our corrective action program.

AmerGen has made all necessary communication arrangements to sound the sirens with the State and County officials and communications to the residents of the local counties, before the sounding, are also planned.
