Re: Indian Point P report Dave, It appears that the staff received this document the day of your e-mail, February 25. Evidently, the irradiation/sanitation process in the mail is still causing significant delays in our mail delivery. Obviously, our original policy was developed when there was no such problem. Right now, we are examining our internal procedures to try and determine the most effective way to deal with this and will let you know what comes of it. Thanks for your continued patience.

Hello Mindy:

Last week, we spoke about the isolated" cases where some TVA documents did not get into ADAMS for weeks.

Here's an account of yet another "isolated" case. The Fundamental Improvement Plan which Entergy submitted to the NRC in January 2002 and which will be the focus of an NRC public meeting this Wednesday has not yet been made publicly available.

NRC's policy and procedures say that documents will be made publicly available within five working days after they are received. All we're asking is that the NRC do what it says it will do - make documents publicly available within five working days.

If the NRC really cared about improving public confidence," there would not be so many 'isolated" events.

Dave, For some reason, the Indian Point 2 "Fundamentals" report you're seeking was not scanned into ADAMS.

It's too long to fax, but there are two options to get you a copy 1.) We Fed Ex you a copy today that you should receive tomorrow; or 2.) We have scanned into ADAMS, in which case it should also be available tomorrow. Please let me know your preference.
