St Lucie letter from NMFS Tom:
Attached is the letter that Bob Hoffman,NMFS - SE Region,said was issued yesterday.
I have sent copies to Brendan Morony (the operating reactor PM) and Mike Masnik. The three of us here at NRC had a telecon with Hoffman earlier this morning.
This should not affect LR, but it will impact the license amendment that Brendan was about to issue. It will also impact Brendan and Mike and I because we will need to re-initiate consultation with NMFS on turtles at St Lucie as a result of 1) the proposed changes to the barrier net system in the intake canal at the site and 2) St Lucie exceeding the incidental take statement limits last year.
Mike will be back in the office next week and will be calling you.
