SUMMARY
OF THE APRIL 11, 2003, MEETING WITH NUCLEAR MANAGEMENT COMPANY, LLC TO DISCUSS PALISADES PERFORMANCE On April 11, 2003, a public meeting was held at the Holiday Inn Express, South Haven, Michigan, between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Nuclear Management Company staff. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss NRCs assessment of Palisadess performance for the period of January 1, 2002, through December 31, 2002.
During the NRC presentation, an overall assessment of Palisades performance was provided.
As explained in the Annual Assessment letter from NRC to Mr. D. Cooper, Site Vice President, Palisades Nuclear Plant, dated March 4, 2003, reference ADAMS accession number ML030640425, Palisades operated in a manner that preserved public health and safety and fully met all cornerstone objectives. The slides presented that evening by the NRC are available in ADAMS (accession number ML030930064).
Before adjourning the meeting the NRC provided the opportunity for members of the public to ask questions.
