SUMMARY
OF THE APRIL 7, 2003, MEETING WITH NUCLEAR MANAGEMENT COMPANY, LLC TO DISCUSS MONTICELLO PERFORMANCE On April 7, 2003, a public meeting was held at the Bridge Room - Monticello Community Center, Monticello, MN, between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Nuclear Management Company staff. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss NRCs assessment of Monticellos performance for the period of January 1, 2002, through December 31, 2002.
During the NRC presentation, an overall assessment of Monticello performance was provided.
As explained in the Annual Assessment letter from NRC to Mr. J. Forbes, Site Vice President, Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant, dated March 4, 2003, reference ADAMS accession number ML030640404, Monticello operated in a manner that preserved public health and safety and fully met all cornerstone objectives. The slides presented that evening by the NRC are available in ADAMS (accession number ML030920534).
Before adjourning the meeting the NRC provided the opportunity for members of the public to ask questions.
