Subject:
Besse head cladding
- Dave, Quick question: Roughly how big would the manual SMAW center section of the Besse head cladding be?
6", 1', 2'... diameter.
Nozzle three (the cavity is adjacent to nozzle 3 on the downhill side) may be on the border of where the 6-wire ends and the SMAW cladding begins. The center of Nozzle three is 12.15" from top dead center of the head. The diameter of the nozzle is 4". The cracking in cladding starts at about 2" from the OD of nozzle 3.
In other words, the cracking in the cladding in the cavity is about 16.15" from top dead center. Could this region be included in the SMAW cladding?
I would appreciate any input you could give.
