Monthly Operating Report for March 2003, Docket No. 50-298 The purpose of this letter is to provide the Cooper Nuclear Station Monthly Operating Report for March 2003. In accordance with the guidance provided by Generic Letter 97-02, this report includes an Operating Data Report and Unit Shutdown Report for the month of March. In accordance with Technical Specification 5.6.4, this report also includes documentation of challenges to the safety/relief valves.

I CNS reduced power following a failure in a feedwater heater control valve. Repair required cold conditions and a manual shutdown was initiated on 2/24/03. Plant remained shutdown for maintenance and start of Refueling Outage on 311/03.
