DONALD C. COOK NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT 2 - REVIEW OF DRAFT SAFETY EVALUATION FOR MEASUREMENT UNCERTAINTY RECAPTURE POWER UPRATE (TAC NO. MB6751)
Dear Mr. Bakken:
By application dated November 15, 2002, as supplemented February 24, 2003, you requested a 1.66-percent measurement uncertainty recapture power uprate for the D. C. Cook Nuclear Plant, Unit 2. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has prepared the enclosed draft safety evaluation in response to your application. Consistent with NRC staff guidance in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulations Office Instruction COM-203, Informal Interfacing And Exchange of Information With Licensees and Applicants, I request that you review the enclosed draft safety evaluation to verify that factual information is accurate and complete.
As mutually agreed to by the NRC staff and your staff, I request your response by April 25, 2003. Your response is needed by April 25th in order for the NRC staff to complete its review of your application in time to meet your needs for the upcoming refueling outage.
