dated May 6, 2002 Exelon Generation Company (EGC), LLC in accordance with 10 CFR 50.55a(g), is required to maintain an Inservice Inspection Program in accordance with the requirements of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. During a November 2002 American National Standards Institute N626.1 audit of ASME Code activities at LaSalle County Station, conducted by The Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection & Insurance Company of Connecticut, errors of omission were discovered on two ASME NIS-2, "Owners Report of Repair or Replacement," forms.

The errors involved the failure to note the use of ASME Code Case N-496-1, "Helical - Coil Threaded Inserts,Section XI, Division 1," on the NIS-2 form.

These errors have been documented in the LaSalle County Station Corrective Action Program.

The original NIS-2 forms were submitted within References (1) and (2) above. The purpose of this correspondence is to transmit the corrected NIS-2 forms. The use of Code Case N-496-1 is documented on the corrected forms in section 5(b).
