NORTH ANNA POWER STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 AND INDEPENDENT SPENT FUEL STORAGE INSTALLATION (ISFSI), AND SURRY POWER STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2 AND ISFSI - REVIEW OF PROPOSED REVISION TO OPERATIONAL QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGRAM (TAC NOS. MB8046, MB8047, MB8048, AND MB8049)
Dear Mr. Christian:
By letter dated February 27, 2003, Virginia Electric and Power Company requested changes to the Operational Quality Assurance Program (Topical Report) for the North Anna and Surry Power Stations, Units 1 and 2, along with the ISFSIs at North Anna and Surry Power Stations.
Your letter states that you have determined that the changes constitute a reduction in commitment to the QA program; therefore, these changes must be approved by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff prior to implementation in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 50.54(a)(4).
As we discussed with Mr. Tom Shaub of your staff on March 25, 2003, we anticipate preparing a request for additional information, if necessary, by April 30, 2003, and we anticipate completing the review within 60 days after receiving your response.
