9/19/02 7"27PM RPV Head/Hot Leg Temperature History Jon Previously Steve Long requested information on past operating history regarding the temperature of the RPV head/hot leg greater than 605 degrees F. As we discussed with him on a conference call, a review of the hot leg data for Loop 1 for the past -10.5 years showed approximately 1.1% of the time greater than 605. Since this discussion, we refined our review of Loop 1 and have 1.4% In addition, we reviewed Loop 2 and have 5.6%
greater than 605. Since we would expect the two loops to show about the same temperature, the actual experience is probably between 1.1 and 5 6%.
The differences may be the result of calibration differences, one loop being measured at slightly above 605 with the other loop slightly below 605, etc.
It is proving challenging to go further back in time and obtain this data, but we are continuing to work at it and we will let you know once we have some information.
