- Subject, Draft Preliminary Responses to NRC RAI on Safety Significance Assessment Doug Aa discussed on yesterday's conference call, attached are the draft, preliminary responses to the NRC staff questions on the April 8, 2002, Davis-Besse RPV Head Degradation Safety Significance Assessment (letter Serial No. 1-1268). Please note that Appendix B (ASME paper) to the Structural Integrity calculation was provided to the NRC staff yesterday and is not included here in order to reduce the size of the e-mail Since Mark Kirk-NRC/RES is scheduled to speak at the June 5 ACRS subcommittee meeting on the assessment of margin available, you may want to ensure he, in particular, is aware of this information attached below.
As always, please let me know if we need to hold a conference call with the NRC staff to discuss this information further.
