NUCLEAR ENERGY INSTITUTE COMMENTS ON TEMPORARY INSTRUCTION 2515/148, INSPECTION OF NUCLEAR REACTOR SAFEGUARDS INTERIM COMPENSATORY MEASURES
Dear Ms. Hendricks:
The Nuclear Energy Institute (NEI) has offered feedback to the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) on Temporary Instruction (TI) 2515/148, "Inspection of Nuclear Reactor Safeguards Interim Compensatory Measures." In addition, my staff has brought to my attention other issues which have surfaced during inspections at various sites using TI 2515/148.
Enclosed with this letter is a matrix that outlines the comments your organization has formally submitted to the NRC as well as other issues that required clarification for NRC inspectors. Based, in part, on the issues identified in the enclosure, the NRC staff has issued Revision 2 to TI 2515/148 to further clarify our inspection requirements to be consistent with the intent of the February 25, 2002, Order.
