" Detailed

Description:

During the inspection of the south condensate storage tank (CST). a film of loose rust was observed on the floor of the tank. Additionally, the lower 6-8" of the tank wall exhibit corrosion through the coating of the tank.\\SIGNIFICANCE:\\- Degradation of CST.\\- Potential ingress of contaminants into the secondary system.\\CORRECTIVE ACTION: Operations and engmneenng personnel were contacted. Operations personnel cleaned the floor of the tank and engineenng inspected the tank.\\RECOMMENDATIONS:\\- Evaluate the condition of the tank coating for possible repair or re-coating.\\- Evaluate coating in north CST (T24 B) for similar condition as plant conditions allow.

Prescreen Comments: Minor surface rust observed inside T-24A does not appear to have degraded the integnty of the tank. Loose rust and dirt was removed from the floor of the tank prior to filling to prevent its introduction into the condensate system.
