- CATEGORY ONE MEETING ANNUAL ASSESSMENT - TURKEY POINT NUCLEAR PLANT, DOCKET NOS.

50-250 AND 50-251

Dear Mr. Stall:

This letter confirms the telephone conversation between Mr. Walt Parker of your staff and Mr. Steven Rudisail of NRC staff on March 11, 2003, concerning an Annual Assessment Meeting (Category One public meeting) requested by us which is scheduled for April 2, 2003, at 7:00 p.m. (EST). The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the NRC Reactor Oversight Process Annual Assessment of your Turkey Point Nuclear Plant. During the meeting, we recognize that you may have information which you want to present to us or any members of the public in attendance. Accordingly, if you so desire, after our presentation you will be afforded an opportunity to respond to any information contained in the Annual Assessment Letter and to discuss any new or existing programs that are designed to maintain or improve your current performance. The meeting will be held in the City Council Chambers Room of the Homestead City Hall, located at 790 N. Homestead Blvd., Homestead, Florida. The meeting will be an open meeting in accordance with NRCs Policy Statement for Enhancing Public Participation in NRC Meetings, May 28, 2002 (Federal Register Volume 67, Number 102, 36920-36924).
