Response to Commission Order Establishing Interim Inspection Requirements for Reactor Pressure Vessel Heads at Pressurized Water Reactors In accordance with 10 CFR 50.4, Omaha Public Power District (OPPD) hereby submits information in response to the Order establishing Interim Inspection Requirements for Reactor Pressure Vessel Heads at Pressurized Water Reactors (hereinafter "Order") issued by the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) on February 11, 2003.

Pursuant to the requirements of 10 CFR 2.202(a)(2), the Answer to the Order is being transmitted to the NRC under separate cover.

OPPD has determined its primary water stress corrosion cracking (PWSCC) susceptibility category for the 2003 Fall Refueling Outage (RFO) to be "Moderate" in Reference 3 per the guidance in Reference 2, Sections A and B. Therefore, in the 2003 Fall RFO, OPPD will implement the reactor pressure vessel (RPV) head inspection and reporting requirements of Reference 2, Section C(2), D, and E.

I declare under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct and copies of the response were sent to the addressee and listed individuals. (Executed on March 3 ,2003).
