Dear Senator DeWine:
I am responding on behalf of the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission to your letter of January 28, 2003, forwarding the concerns of your constituent, Howard C. Whitcomb, III, regarding the Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station.
We have reviewed Mr. Whitcombs concerns and responded to him in the enclosed letter. As stated in the letter, we have forwarded his concerns to the Office of the Inspector General. As discussed with your casework office staff on April 22, 2003, the enclosures provided to Mr. Whitcomb are not being attached due to their voluminous nature. However, should you desire the enclosures, please contact Dennis Rathbun at (301) 415-1776.
